I'm a little disappointed in my local chippy. Although the chips are ok and the portions are sizable, I feel they are not blanched enough, leading to a firmer, slightly undercooked texture. I prefer chips to be light and fluffy in the middle. There are a few good specials available but I would say the large portions are too large for me and overly expensive.
